Yoga Equipment

Are you considering starting yoga exercises? I guess so, since you’re here …
Yoga can be a rewarding exercise if you do it with the correct yoga equipment on your side.
You not only need the right clothing but also other equipment which will help to provide for a much more wholesome experience.

A yoga mat, also known as a sticky mat is very important. The mat is tailored to provide traction for your feet and hands. This offers you protection against slipping as you sweat. The mat also acts as a cushion against the floor.

During yoga exercises, you also need a blanket to provide extra cushioning when you want to sit or lie down in your poses. If for example you want to sit cross-legged, you will need to place the blanket beneath your sit bones so that your hips are elevated above your knees. You can also use the blanket to keep away the chilly weather as you relax after exercise.

You also need yoga equipment such as straps and blocks. Straps are useful for holding your legs when your hands can’t reach them or for poses where your hands need to be held together but it is not possible.
On the other hand, blocks provide you with more comfort and improve your body’s alignment. You will find blocks very useful in standing poses where your hands are far from the floor.

Exercise balls, bricks, yoga ropes, meditation cushions, calf stretcher and many other yoga equipment are important because they provide you with the stability, safety and support you need while doing yoga exercises.
